Celtics Take Over Portland with Comedy and Three-Pointers…

In a knee-slapping show of shooting skills, the Boston Celtics cha-cha-ed their way to a 129-116 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center. The short-handed Celtics showed Portland that even with three key players missing, they could still pull a rabbit out of the hat—or in this case, a Tatum out of Boston. With Jayson Tatum leading the charge and dancing through the paint, it felt more like a comedy special than a basketball game!

Payton Pritchard, playing the “Jrue Holiday” role, started the game like a stand-up comic, firing off a Tatum-assisted triple to get the laughs—or points—rolling. Portland’s interior defense seemed more like swiss cheese, as Boston kept finding holes to exploit. The Blazers tried to amuse the audience with a comeback act but, much to their chagrin, kept tripping over Horford’s sneaky three-pointers and Hauser’s eight long-distance bombs.

The crowd got its money’s worth when the Celtics bench, possibly planning to start a podcast on teamwork, kicked into high gear. Luke Kornet was the silent charmer, sneaking in 13 points when no one was watching. By the end of the night, Boston had delivered not just a game, but a full-blown three-ring circus, serving 23 triples and 31 assists on a platter. The Celts now head to Sacramento, hoping to turn the Kings’ court into their next comedy club!
