A Game of Vanishing Giants…

In a plot twist worthy of the wackiest basketball cartoon, Celtics’ tall tower Kristaps “The Sky’s the Limit” Porzingis mysteriously vanished mid-game like Houdini with a hoop habit! During the high-drama second quarter face-off against the Knicks, he was whisked away to the locker room by a non-COVID illness, leaving fans wondering if he’d return faster than a fast break. Alas, he stayed vanished and our friendly giant left his team in a pickle, spending only 14 minutes on the hardwood.

Porzingis had struggled like a cat trying to play fetch, missing all four of his shots as if the hoop sneezed them back out! This disappearance followed a playoff slump where he scored less than your grandma’s knitting session, far below his season average. The arena echoed with the gasps of fans as the once towering Latvian went MIA. With no crystal ball insight, fans are anxiously fretting if our hero will swoop back in for Game 2.

Meanwhile, while Porzingis was off on his mysterious adventure, Al “The Steady Hand” Horford and Luke “Skywalker” Kornet tugged on their capes to fill in the big man’s shoes, which is no easy task when those shoes are size skyscraper! Horford hustled with 34 minutes of action, grabbing rebounds like a squirrel gathering nuts, while Kornet danced across the court for his moment in the spotlight. Coach Mazzulla crossed his fingers and toes, hoping Porzingis snaps back into the picture like a slam dunk hero!
