Slam Dunks & Detective Work: The Height Mystery…
PORTLAND, Me. — Miles Norris is standing tall, well, kind of. “Some say I’m 6-7, others 6-10,” Norris remarked. “I’ll settle somewhere in between at 6-9. In reality, I’m not 6-7, I swear!” Norris’s height has been quite the Sherlock Holmes mystery since he joined the Boston Celtics with a two-way contract. Accurate height challenges aside, this G-League sensation with a 7-1 wingspan is making his presence known. Boston traded Anton Watson, a second-round draft pick, for this larger-than-life shooter.
After an airport surprise call, Norris sprinted back from Santa Cruz faster than Wile E. Coyote to join Boston. His debut against the Sixers gave him a few garbage-time minutes, but hey, everyone starts somewhere! Whether it’s shooting 43.6% from the field or nailing 37% from three-point land, Norris has hoofed it to Maine, averaging a solid 13.7 points per game.
While Norris dazzles offensively, his defense might just need a little “seasoning.” With one game left to prep for the G-League playoffs, Norris is diving into team chemistry like a chef into a bowl of chowder, learning from the best. Boston’s new-found gem is set to light up the hardwood, like a lighthouse guiding fans through the foggy playoff seas ahead!
