Enter Kristaps Porzingis and Baylor Scheierman, our not-so-secret heroes for the night. Porzingis racked up 25 points and played a little game of “who can grab the most rebounds” with 13 to his name, plus three fancy blocks. Meanwhile, Scheierman wasn’t shy either, scoring a career-high 20 points with six sparkling three-pointers. Thanks to them, Boston strutted out with a victory, ready for their next six-game road adventure.
But here’s the kicker: Boston’s defense was sharper than a porcupine with freshly polished quills. They taught the Nets a thing or two about what it means to be on lockdown, holding them to a cringe-worthy offensive rating of 104.8. Despite struggling a bit in the absence of Tatum and Brown, the Celtics hustled their way through with some sneaky post-ups and nifty passes from Jrue Holiday and Al Horford to seal the deal.
