Baylor Scheierman Dazzles in Celtics’ Nail-Biter…
Ah, the Boston Celtics – always keeping things interesting! With Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown taking a knee (literally) for the evening, it was time for the lesser-known heroes to shine, and boy did they! Enter Baylor Scheierman, a rookie wing who suddenly thought he was Steph Curry for the night. He dropped a career-high 20 points in just 16 minutes, knocking down threes like he was shooting fish in a barrel.
Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis played like he had a turbo-boost button, filling up the stat sheet with 25 points and catching rebounds like they were going out of style. Derrick White decided to complicate things by hitting only 6 of his 19 shots, perhaps auditioning for a comedy show. The Brooklyn Nets, led by D’Angelo Russell with 18 points and Ziaire Williams helping out with 15, gave the Celtics more trouble than trying to find parking in Boston.
With the Celtics and Nets trading blows like two heavyweight boxers, it seemed like a photo finish. But then, Scheierman’s threes turned into Boston’s magic beans, and before anyone knew it, the Celtics had the Nets under lock and key. Next, the Celtics hit the road, but after tonight, anything seems possible – even threes raining from the heavens!
