Porzingis and Tatum Throw a 53-Point Party…
After a dazzling win over Brooklyn, the Celtics took their show on the road — straight to Utah’s own band of injured Jazz musicians. Kristaps Porzingis led the Celtics’ gig with 27 points, while Jayson Tatum added his spicy twist with 26 points. Despite the Jazz attempting a soft shoe shuffle to keep up, Boston’s 13-0 quickstep late in the third quarter had the Celtics dancing away with the nitty-gritty!
The seas parted as Boston’s defense turned into a turnover tornado, causing 17 Jazz slip-ups and grabbing 13 steals. Celtics snagged 26 points from Utah’s goodwill turnovers and even wrangled 33 second-chance points. With Jaylen Brown chilling on the bench, Payton Pritchard decided to freelance, strumming out 18 points himself. The Celtics strutted their stuff confidently from the very first notes, thanks to a 30-foot three initiated by Porzingis, leaving Jazz coach Will Hardy sweating through his tuxedo!
As the game transitioned, Tatum continued his majestic hustle. Celtic defense held the Jazz firm, giving their crowd-favorite performers a night to snooze. Even spat between Porzingis and Collin Sexton couldn’t dampen their spirits, as the Celtics mopped up the hardwood with style, creativity, and, of course, a few shimmies.
