Scouting March Madness: Whiz Kids for the Celtics…
Spring is here, and while flowers bloom, so does college basketball! As March Madness rolls out its court frenzy, the Celtics are all eyes and elbows scouting for the next Boston baller to rock green and white. President Brad “Draft Whisperer” Stevens is on the prowl to turn diamond-in-the-rough players into star-spangled sensations. So far, his dartboard drafting has included names like Juhann Begarin and JD Davison. Davison has dazzled in Maine, but others are still polishing their skills. Celtics are banking on a pot of gold in the upcoming draft—no pressure, Brad!
Before you start biting your nails over who’ll be catching Tatum’s alley-oops, meet Danny Wolf from Michigan, the 7-foot magician who spins passes like a DJ. Then there’s Duke’s Isaiah Evans raining threes like your grandpa watering his lawn. Creighton’s Ryan Kalkbrenner might just pull a rabbit out of cache, filling those oversized Kornet sneakers. For a splash of versatility, Colorado State’s Nique Clifford and Illinois’s Will Riley are both worth a double take. Clifford is deemed a sure bet, while Riley dreams as big as his 6’8” height.
Boston’s draft cards are ready: slots #28 and #32—do they go for safe or spicy? Will the Leprechaun’s luck strike twice? These players could be just what Boston needs or at least give Stevens another shot at NBA sorcery. Either way, Irish eyes are definitely watching.
