Defense Collapses, Then the Celtics Clap Back…
Oh boy, did the Celtics forget their defensive playbook at home in the first few minutes! It looked like they were trying out a groundbreaking “double-team-everyone-but-the-guy-with-the-ball” strategy. The Kings scored over 20 points in less time than it takes to decide on pizza toppings. Luckily, once the Celtics remembered they were actually supposed to stop the other team from scoring, they tightened up and outscored the Kings 75 to… well, much less than 75 after that.
Suddenly, the Celtics were functioning like a perfectly driven minivan full of soccer moms on game day. Kristaps Porzingis embraced his inner conductor, orchestrating plays and showing his flexibility as an “offensive hub.” He stretched the floor so well that even Gumby would be jealous. Meanwhile, Derrick White was busy channeling his inner maestro, conducting an ankle-injury prevention symphony after Jayson Tatum limped offstage.
Luke Kornet took center stage in a thrilling “Battle of the Boards” against Sabonis, squashing Sacramento’s chances quicker than one could say “offensive rebound percentage.” Payton Pritchard brought his own toolkit, manning the helm as the Celtics’ sneaky zone destroyer. With a bench production reading like a blockbuster summer flick, the Celtics definitely knew how to close out the show. Bravo, fellas!
