Stevens Hopes New Celtics Owner Passes the Vibe Check…
PHOENIX — Brad Stevens, Celtics GM and secret road trip aficionado, found himself in the middle of ownership drama, not to mention Arizona, as he addressed reporters on the recent sale to Bill “Chill-vibes” Chisholm. Stevens gave the scoop from a sunny basketball court: Bill is cool, a total fanboy, and apparently, doesn’t mess with basketball voodoo.
Though Brad hasn’t swapped many high-fives with Mr. Bill just yet, he got a good vibe. The new boss and his plus-one, none other than Mrs. Chisholm, made their grand presence felt at the Celtics-Kings game. “Bill’s jazzed about the Cs,” Stevens laughed. “Dude’s a total Celtics chucklehead!”
With everyone wondering if new ownership means a total facelift, Brad assured all that Chisholm is grooving with the Celtics’ rhythm. Imagine spending gazillions on a team and not wanting to play dress-up! “Bill’s keen to let us jam like a rocking Celtics band,” Stevens quipped.
While not the lead singer in the sale-deal symphony, Stevens caught the note of Chisholm’s Celtics love. “It screams Celtics fanatic — hilariously,” Stevens teased. Meanwhile, while saying farewell to team owner Steve Pagliuca felt like breaking up with a long-time smoothie buddy, Stevens kept it classy, thankful, and optimistic about jamming with the new cool cats.
